‘You can’t cross the sea by merely staring at the water.’ Tagore
… and it’s equally true that you can’t start or grow a business by merely ‘thinking about it’. It’s a darned shame, I know, but there you go. Tagore (he of the aforementioned crossing the sea quote) might well have continued (if he was so inclined) by saying, you have to dive in and start swimming or get in a boat and start rowing.
If your business dream only exists on some far off, distant island right now, you won’t make it happen just by staring wistfully at it – you either have to dive in and start swimming or get in a boat and start rowing, each stroke taking you ever closer and closer to that shore.
An idea, even a great idea, remains just an idea until you DO something to realise it.
